Shopping in Milan

When it comes to fashion Milan is one of the world's most important capitals, especially for its role within the prêt-à-porter category of fashion. The “Milanese” fashion style born at the end of seventies and since 1979 the Italian Fashion Capital hosts two fashion weeks every year, in Spring and in Autumn.
Even if originally the Italian design took inspiration from the Parisian couture, it soon developed its own approach, which was by nature devoted to the quality of the fabric, soberness and simplicity.

From then on Milan has been home to numerous fashion designers, including Giorgio Armani, Valentino Garavani, Gianni Versace, Gianfranco Ferrè, Miuccia Prada, Krizia, Moschino, Etro, Trussardi, Missoni and Dolce & Gabbana.

Strolling down Montenapoleone street - one of the leading shopping street in the world - visitors come across the boutiques of such best-loved and renowned designers as Gucci, Versace, Cartier, Dior, Prada, Luis Vuitton, Hermès just to mention a few of them. Nevertheless, there are also other important shopping streets dotted by exclusive fashion and couture boutiques, such as Via Dante, Corso Buenos Aires - one of the biggest shopping streets in Europe - Piazza San Babila and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II.

But in Milan you can breath fashion everywhere! Just a few minutes from the Hub Hotel you can find a shop full of all the brand new items from Armani, Hogan, Max Mara, Tods and Moncler just to mention a few of them.
